Welcome to HELVET, where our vision as farmers, at Helvet-farm Zrt, has always been to create a direct and meaningful connection between the soil and the consumer. Nestled in the fertile lands of Békés County and extending our passion into Romania we proudly manage one of europe’s largest certified organic integration. Our journey began with a dream: to forge the shortest and most sustainable path from our fields to your plate, ensuring that every bite is not only healthy but also environmentally conscious.
Understanding the critical role of raw materials in the food supply chain, we embarked on an ambitious project in 2021, to establish a new benchmark in the industry. Our partnership with Bühler and Hosokawa led to the creation of the first state-of-the-art Textured Vegetable Protein (TVP) plant in the Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) region. This greenfield initiative represents our commitment to producing the highest quality TVP, a key ingredient for a more sustainable "bean to burger" journey.
At the heart of our operation is a commitment to drastically reduce the carbon footprint of our products. We believe that the most significant ecological impact we can make is through offering raw materials that not only meet but exceed sustainability standards. Our approach is designed to ensure that we contribute meaningfully to a sustainable food supply chain, addressing the primary concern of many processing companies: the sourcing of eco-friendly raw materials.
We have set ourselves an ambitious target to reach by 2025 and named it 50/70. By this we can reintroduce a somewhat forgotten leguminous plant in the crop rotation of our fellow local farmers, also giving them a chance to participate in a shortened supply chain. By this we aim to minimize the transportation pollution and enhance traceability.

In our TVP production, we employ a mechanical process that transforms leguminous seeds into premium meat analogues, eschewing chemicals and additives. The sequence initiates with seed cleaning and dehulling, followed by precision grinding into a fine powder, enabling protein-starch separation via air shifting to obtain a high-protein concentrate.
This concentrate is then extruded, a process that may include seasoning or enrichment with specific components for targeted flavor or nutritional profiles. Extrusion relies on steam and pressure to achieve the desired texture, mirroring meat consistency without any chemical intervention.
